Carrot cake and baking stuff :))

I've been bitten by the baking bug! I've baked over a dozen cupcakes and three cakes within two weeks! And I couldn't be happier! :))

I know I wrote about baking in my last post but I just had to write this one down...coz I'm so proud! Haha Today I made my first "maarteng" carrot cake. It had buttercream frosting and gumdrop carrot candies and grated carrots as sprinkles. It was fabulous. :)

Also, I dropped by this shop called All About Baking and gathered some supplies there. I got a muffin pan for a little over 200, baking cups at 150/50pcs, muffin liners at 56/57 (can't remember) per 100pcs., something like wax paper (I forgot what it's called) at a little under 50, chocolate chip for 80ish, pastry bag for 80ish, and piping tips for a little under 40. Not bad! I don't really know much about baking, since I am a noob, but I think the prices were cheaper here and I really think it was a steal, so if you're looking for affordable baking stuff, you can check this place out. :)

For the buttercream frosting, I used unsalted butter, powdered sugar and vanilla flavoring. I can't really tell you the proportions since I myself don't know. But I did use 1 1/2 cups of butter. About a cup of sugar and two teaspoons of vanilla flavor...(that's is roughly estimating haha) I adjusted the sugar and flavor according to taste so feel free to make any revision to this.

I was going to upload some pictures but it seems I can't upload it directly from my iPad. Oh well. I'll edit this post later.

That's it for now.

Ciao. :)
